Eric ‘Scrappy’ Hughes

Eric Scrappy Hughes

Cascade Blues Association writes:
“Chances are if you’ve ever spent any time on Beale Street looking for the blues, you’ve come across the Eric Hughes and his Band. Long time mainstays on Beale, you can usually find them in one of several venues throughout the week. His popularity amongst the performers has earned him perennial nominations as the Beale St. Entertainer of the Year. A master on guitar, harmonica and vocals, he is also a crafty wordsmith when it comes to songwriting. “
Some of his accomplishments are:

“Coolest Blues Song of 2013” Big City Blues Magazine
“Best Self-Produced CD 2013” Memphis Blues Society
“…guaranteed crowd-pleasers”  Living Blues Magazine

He will be a part of the musical lineup this Friday night for the Frank Stokes Headstone Dedication and Benefit Concert at Hollywood Cemetery and The Center for Southern Folklore.  Check out more about him at:  https://www.facebook.com/events/1455224884778437  and more about the event Friday night at https://www.facebook.com/events/1037083906414037/
